Itinerary and Highlights
- Day 1 Arrive Graveson, a traditional Provence village situated between Arles and Avignon at the foot of La Montagnette.
- Day 2 La Montagnette – Tarascon (22.5 kms).
Walk through countryside of pine forests and olive groves. On arrival, visit the St Michel de Frigulet Abbey in Tarascon, a 12 – 14thC Romanesque and Neo-Gothic church. King Rene’s Medieval Castle is also an impressive landmark of this lovely town. - Day 3 Tarascon – Les Baux de Provence (22.5 kms).
Join a long distance footpath to crag-top Les Baux, once an ancient fort and now a charming village of winding cobblestone streets with outstanding views. - Day 4 Les Baux de Provence – Saint Remy de Provence (9.5 km).
Descend to the charming village of St Remy famous for its brandy production and well preserved Roman monuments at Glanum. - Day 5 Saint Remy de Provence (18 kms).
Circuit walk into the countryside past little hamlets with some steep climbs. - Day 6 St Remy de Provence – Maussane Les Alpilles (15 kms).
Follow along a path past the limestone foothills of the Alpilles, through olive groves to the beautifully sited village of Maussane with the backdrop of the Alpilles - Day 7 Walking holiday arrangements end after breakfast.
