Itinerary and Highlights
- Day 1 Dubrovnik. Transfer on the day of the tour from Dubrovnik airport, harbour or another hotel in Dubrovnik area to the tour hotel. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik.
- Day 2 Dubrovnik -Mostar– Sarajevo.
Morning departure to Mostar, city of bridges, where the travellers from the south reach their first glimpses of the continent beyond. After a Mostar city tour departs to Sarajevo, the Capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. A city tour of Sarajevo upon arrival. Dinner and overnight in Sarajevo. - Day 3 Sarajevo – Osijek Morning departure to Osijek, the largest city in eastern Croatia, beautifully settled on the banks of Drava River. A city tour of Osijek includes the Cathedral and the Tvrdja (Old Fort). Dinner and overnight in Osijek.
- Day 4 Osijek – Zagreb Morning depart to Djakovo. The tour of the Cathedral followed by departure to Zagreb. Upon arrival sightseeing of Zagreb, Croatian capital city, including the fortified Upper Town, the city’s historical centre, St Mark’s church with multi-coloured roof, the Cathedral, Croatian National Theatre and University. Dinner and overnight in Zagreb.
- Day 5 Zagreb – Plitvice - Zadar Morning departure for Plitvice National Park, inscribed on the List of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. Tour the 16 crystal - blue lakes cascading into 92 spectacular waterfalls. Walk on the wooden promenades to view majestic waters where every turn leads to a breathtaking scenery and yet another waterfall. Surrounded by dense woods Plitvice lakes is a natural phenomenon of rare and unique beauty. Depart to Zadar. Dinner and overnight in Zadar.
- Day 6 Zadar – Split After breakfast orientation tour of Zadar (without entrances to the museums) visiting the Roman Forum from the 2nd century BC, the 9th century pre-Romanesque church of St. Donatus as well as St. Elias church. Depart to Split. Upon arrival, a city tour of Split, covering the Diocletian’s Palace inscribed on the UNESCO’s List of World Cultural Heritage, the Peristyle, Jupiter’s Temple and the Cathedral. Dinner and overnight in Split area.
- Day 7 Split – Dubrovnik Morning departure for Dubrovnik, driving along the Makarska Riviera. Upon arrival, a city tour of Dubrovnik, inscribed on the List of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO, visiting the Cathedral and Franciscan Monastery with Europe’s third oldest pharmacy. Dinner & overnight in Dubrovnik.
- Day 8 Dubrovnik - walking holiday ends.
