Highlights include Mt Vesuvius and the remarkable archaeological site of Pompeii, the islands of Capri and Ischia. Cruise the azure waters on a comfortable Turkish gulet for 12 passengers only with plenty of time to swim and relax.
Itinerary and Highlights
- Day 1 Castellammare di Stabia and Pozzuoli (2.5 hrs, approx).
Board your vessel at Castellammare di Stabia in the Gulf of Naples and sail to the port of Pozzuoli. Take a short hike to the third biggest amphitheatre in the world and other Roman monuments in the area. - Day 2 Sightseeing Naples and crossing to Procida.
Explore Naples the cruise to the small island Procida to stay in a small fishing harbour untouched for 300 years. - Day 3 Island Ischia (5 hrs, approx).
Cruise to Ischia, the green island, and hike to the impressive castle of the Aragonese. Continue via Campagnano and Barano to the hot springs at Sant Angelo. - Day 4 Amalfi – Ravello (3 hrs).
Leave the Gulf of Naples for Amalfi (5 hrs). Hike uphill past old paper mills and medieval ruins to reach stunning Ravello. Return to Amalfi and stroll the town centre visiting the famous duomo (cathedral). - Day 5 Agerola - Positano 'Pathway Of The Gods' (3 hrs, approx).
Transfer by bus from Amalfi via a winding road with terrific views, to the village of Agerola. From here the Pathway of the Gods (Sentiero degli Dei) will lead you through rocky landscapes and beautiful rolling terraces high above the sea to Positano. Cruise to Piano di Sorrento or a nearby cove for overnight. - Day 6 Isle of Capri and Sorrento.
Ferry from Sorrento to the small but not-to-be-missed Isle of Capri with the option to discover some of the busy island's peaceful corners or enjoy the bustle of its main tourist areas. Return by speed boat to Sorrento and stroll the Old Town. - Day 7 Vesuvius and Pompeii (2 hrs).
Transfer by bus to Mt Vesuvius and hike to the top of the crater. Afterwards visit the archaeological site of Pompeii and enjoy a guided tour through the streets of this impressive city and excavation. - Day 8 (Sat) Castellammare di Stabia
