Follow panoramic footpaths, quiet mule tracks and ancient stairways that link isolated villages, across hills with lemon, olive and chestnut groves, vineyards and meadows on the Sorrentine Peninsular. Descend to the coast and enjoy the lively hospitality and Campania cuisine. The area is renowned for its’ pasta, mozzarella and pizza as well as ‘frutti di mare’ – specialities from the sea – described as the best Europe has to offer!
Itinerary and Highlights
- Day 1 Sunday - Arrive Naples, Italy.
- Day 2 Discover Naples. Travel by train to Pompeii. See magnificent views of the Amalfi Coast from Agerola.
- Day 3 Walk the ‘Punto Panoramico’. Descend to the small village of Furore and onto Conca dei Marini (4hrs)
- Day 4 Bus to Bomerano to walk Sentiero degli Dei (Footpath of the Gods) to Postiano (6 hrs). Scenic boat journey to Amalfi (6 hours).
- Day 5 Walk Amalfi to Atrani then follow the ‘Valley Of The Dragon’ up to Ravello (5 hrs).
- Day 6 Trip to the Isle of Capri by boat to walk the stunning cliffs and visit the Blue Grotto (4hrs).
- Day 7 Walk to Pontone. An enchanting walk to ‘Valle dei Mulini’ (Valley of the Mills) and ‘Valle delle Ferriere’ (5 hrs).
- Day 8 Walking holiday ends in Amalfi.
